Graduate School Admission Workshop
This workshop is designed for all students interested in applying for a master's or doctoral program at Stanislaus State. The purpose of this workshop is to familiarize students with graduate program admission requirements and financial aid opportunities. The workshop includes the following two components: 1) a brief overview of the master's and doctoral programs offered at Stanislaus State, including admission requirements and deadlines; and 2) information about financial aid available to graduate students at Stanislaus State, including federal, state, and local campus opportunities.
Preparing for Timed Essay Tests: Graduate Entrance Exam Writing Skills Workshop
This workshop is designed for students interested in applying for graduate programs that require entrance exams such as the GRE, CBEST, CSET, GMAT, or LSAT. The purpose of this workshop is to help students prepare for the writing skills portion of these exams. The workshop includes the following three components: 1) a brief overview of common elements of various writing exam requirements; 2) information about strategies for successful writing for these timed graduate writing exams; and 3) an opportunity to practice writing a response to a sample writing exam prompt, with feedback for improvement.

Human Subjects Research and the University Institutional Review Board (UIRB) Workshop
This workshop is designed for all graduate students wanting to learn about securing UIRB approval to conduct research that involves human subjects. The workshop includes an overview of definitions of human subjects research, levels of UIRB review, procedures for submitting a UIRB application, and training available to students regarding responsible conduct in research. A UIRB Member delivers the workshop, and both the UIRB Member and the UIRB Administrator are available to answer questions about the application process. Faculty members advising graduate student research are welcome to attend.
