The University Student Union is a not-for-profit corporation funded primarily by student fees, and consists of four parts: facilities, programs, services and marketing. The facilities include the University Student Union building here on campus and a Student Union Lounge at the Stockton Center. Programs include activities organized by Code Red Entertainment as well as special events held throughout the year. The services include the sale of warrior cards, photocopies, bus passes, balloons, movie tickets and many other conveniences offered at the Service Desk and Game Room.
The role of the University Student Union Board of Directors is to make decisions concerning policy, renovations, marketing, and budgetary items, while providing overall direction for the facilities, programs, and services funded by USU fees.
The University Student Union Board of Directors has fifteen voting members:
- 9 student representatives
- 1 faculty representative
- 1 alumni representative
- 1 designee of the University President
- 1 designee of the Vice President for Business & Finance
- 1 outside community representative
- 1 Associated Students Inc. (ASI) representative
The University Student Union Board of Directors meets bi-weekly on Thursdays at 3:30 pm in the Warrior Conference Room located on the second floor of the University Student Union. Meetings are open to all members of the campus community.
