Dr. Teresa Brown, who has extensive experience in the development of online education, has been named Program Developer for University Extended Education at California State University, Stanislaus' Stockton Center. Her appointment is effective July 23.
Director of online education at the Church of the Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkeley for the past nine years, Brown will work with local businesses, non-profit groups, organizations, and citizens groups in the San Joaquin County region to develop degree, non-degree, and certificate programs.
Brown developed an extensive list of more than 50 online classes at the Church of the Divinity School. Her educational experience includes degrees in journalism, education, and a Ph.D. from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley.
A resident of Tracy for five years, Brown serves on the Public Authority Advisory Committee for the In-Home Support Services program in San Joaquin County and is President of the Association for Retarded Citizens San Joaquin Board of Directors.
