Holmes comet, which recently became visible in the northeast evening skies, will be on display at the first public observation night in the new Naraghi Hall of Science at California State University, Stanislaus on Thursday, November 8.
Viewing on telescopes set up on the roof area of Naraghi Hall will start at 8:30 p.m., weather permitting. The program is free and open to the public. Children are welcome if accompanied by an adult. Participants can enter through the main entrance of the building and signs will be posted directing people to the observation area via the elevator or stairs.
