CSU Stanislaus to launch Executive MBA Program

California State University, Stanislaus is making plans to offer an Executive Master of Business Administration degree program in Tracy starting in August. The 15-month, 36-unit program will offer an aggregate of courses in the University's Accounting & Finance and Management, Operations, & Marketing departments. Classes will be held on Saturdays in the downtown Tracy Fire Administration Building training facility.

CSU Stanislaus President Dr. Hamid Shirvani said surveys done by the University have indicated there is a high demand for the Executive MBA program in San Joaquin County. Well-trained management professionals are highly sought after by industry and organizations in the region, President Shirvani noted.

"Providing a top-flight Executive MBA program will meet a demand that many hard-working professionals in the region have for personal and professional development," President Shirvani said. "Classes will be offered on Saturdays since many of the students in the program have work and family commitments. This program will be of great benefit to the community because it enables career professionals to obtain a graduate degree close to where they work and live."

"I see it as a huge opportunity for Tracy to partner with CSU Stanislaus and bring higher education learning programs to our community," Tracy Mayor Brent Ives said. "It's a great start to what we hope will be a growing partnership."

Dr. Amin Elmallah, Dean of the College of Business Administration, said the program will offer an executive learning experience that is based on accelerated instruction, cohort learners, leadership emphasis, and delivery methods that prepare participants to address national and global changes in the business environment. Faculty teaching the classes include outstanding scholars and business leaders who provide top-level instruction on management and advanced business concepts.

"This Executive MBA program will be of the highest quality and serve working professionals who are inspired to move into executive level positions in their respective organizations," Elmallah said.

The College of Business Administration is fully accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the nation's premier accrediting agency. For more information on the program, contact the CSU Stanislaus College of Business Administration at (209) 667-3288.
