Why did you choose Stanislaus State?
The Social Work program at Stanislaus State has a great reputation and I didn't have to relocate.

What advice would you give Prospective Students?
Make sure you check out the resources on campus! There is no much available to you. Talk to people, smile, share experiences, make that connection. "Be the change you want to see in the world." - Gandhi

What has been your favorite academic or student life experience so far?
Running the BBQ for the Peer Project with a few other Veterans and the Veteran kickball tournament!

What is your career objective?
I's like to be a Social Worker for the VA.

Do you plan to attend Graduate School?
I'm already there, but I'm done after this, no PH.D for me.

What clubs, sports, and activities have you participated in?
On campus, the VA Work Study and Stanislaus State Veteran's Club. Off campus, I am very involved in the gun community. I am an avid shooter.

Who are your most influential personal and/or University mentor?
I have a lot honestly.

* The 23 students in my MSW cohort. I am incredibly fortunate to have such an amazing group of people who are sharing in this experience with me.

* Instructor Paul Sivak, Yvonne Leal, and Valreie Leyva for their guidance and support!

* Nadine "Mama" Kent with Veteran Affairs

* Last but no least my family and friends who have been understanding and supportive through the last 2 CRAZY years!
