The goal of the SLP is to prepare students for leadership roles on campus and in the community. The program provides a sequential learning experience designed to identify and foster individual leadership potential and civic responsibility among students. It includes a 3-day residential Summer Institute, and has at times also sponsored a 2-unit Multi-Disciplinary class, and a 1-unit community service component. Upon completion of the program, students are eligible to receive a co-curricular transcript, which officially documents their participation in SLP workshops and courses, student leadership positions, organization involvement, community service, and special awards. All students are eligible for the program. The Summer Institute is available free of charge to admitted students.
