Our goal is to emphasize customer service, so that students, faculty, staff and visitors are able to receive quality service in an efficient and timely manner.
The Communications Center is staffed by P.O.S.T. certified police dispatchers as required by the State of California.
Our dispatchers are responsible for prioritizing multiple calls for service while coordinating a variety of other duties. Some of these duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Crime Report Call-Taking
- Emergency Call-Taking
- Monitor the campus alarm system
- Radio Dispatching to Officers
- Police Report Processing
- Citation Processing
- Warrant Processing
- Vehicle Impound Releases
- Maintain multiple records within the California Law Enforcement Telecommunications System
- Reception window inquires and requests
- Phone inquires and requests
- Key Processing
- Satellite Cashiering
- Essential Parking Management Bureau functions
