Before you enroll in a credential or certificate program with the Department of Teacher Education, you must first obtain your bachelor’s degree.
Many CSU Stanislaus students do this via earning their Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies. The Liberal Studies program is a subject matter preparation program that leads to enrollment in a Multiple Subject Credential Program.
Students who do not complete the Liberal Studies program will be required to take and pass the California Subject Examinations for Teachers (CSET) for entry into the Multiple Subject Credential Program.
