This course presents a critical analysis of American political structures and processes.  It meets U.S. Constitution and California state and local government general education requirements (see pages 113-124 of the 2006-2007 CSU Stanislaus Undergraduate Catalog).

The course is intended to help you understand the functioning and dynamics of government in the United States at the federal (national), state (California), and local levels.  It will provide you the opportunity to reflect on your views about democracy, justice, and your role as a citizen.
