Request that two (2) copies of complete official transcripts be sent to CSU Stanislaus from each college or university that you have previously attended. You must have a bachelor's degree with a grade point average of at least 2.7 (on a scale of 0 to 4) in the last 60 semester units.

Letters of recommendation should be requested from three (3) persons who are in a position to evaluate your work or studies and can comment on your potential as a graduate student and professional in the field of public administration. These three letters of recommendation should be mailed to the Department of Politics and Public Administration.

Please print and attach a Cover Form.pdf for each letter of recommendation.
Prepare and submit an up-to-date résumé (vita) that details your education, work experience, and other qualifications.

Submit an one to two page letter of intent explaining your purpose and career objectives in pursuing a MPA degree.

Applicants whose native language is not English must submit scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). A total score of at least 550 is required, with part-scores of at least 54.

Only the written notice of the MPA Graduate Studies Committee, signed by the Director of the MPA program, constitutes approval of admission to the MPA program.

We welcome and encourage applications from all who have a strong interest in a public service career. Admission decisions are made without discriminating on the basis of sex, age, ethnicity, color, religion, or national origin.

(The Graduate Record Examination is not required for application/admission to the MPA program.)
