 Randall Keith


 - String Bass

Randall Keith is the principal bassist of the Santa Rosa Symphony and assistant principal bassist with the Modesto and Fresno orchestras as well as holding a section Bass position with the Oakland East bay Symphony. He has worked with the Chanticleer Men’s Choir, San Francisco Ballet, and the Marin, San Jose and Sacramento Symphonies. He also freelances with many other Bay Area ensembles. Randall teaches double and electric bass at CSU Stanislaus. He has been a member of the Mendocino Music Festival for more than ten years and has also participated in the Carmel Bach Festival, the National Orchestral Institute, the Midsummer Mozart Festival, Coos Bay,

and Redwood music festivals. He earned his bachelor of music degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and has studied with S. Charles Siani, Steve Tramontozzi and Joe Lescher (principal bass of the San Francisco Opera). You’ll often find Randall freelancing in many musical genres from Recording Studios to Musical Reviews, Big Band swing gigs to Jazz Trio club gigs. Or you'll find him supporting Musician's like Andre Boccelli or Placido Domingo, to teaching in his home studio or teaching kids in the school's with the String Quintet that he leads.  Randy brings with him 30 years of experience as a Musician, fulltime, all the time.
