Julie Blickenstaff - Julie Blickenstaff is a junior at California State University, Stanislaus pursuing her Bachelor’s of Music in Vocal Performance. Throughout the last couple of years she has graced the stage in a few productions, most notably, playing Ronnette in “Little Shop of Horrors” which was invited to perform at the Kennedy Center for the Arts Theater Festival in Cedar City, Utah. She performed the role of Lauretta in “Gianni Schicchi” in Winter 2008 in which she made her operatic debut at CSU Stanislaus. During her senior year of high school her talents were recognized by being awarded a Command Performance rating at the CMEA Solo/Ensemble Festival, a CSU Stanislaus Music Department scholarship, the Frank C. Mancini Music Scholarship, and the Yvonne Troedson Choral Excellence Award. Her professional aspirations include being a professional singer and a resident artist with an opera company as well as teaching voice lessons. Beside her love of singing, she also enjoys playing the viola, watching movies, and traveling. |

Audrey Christensen - Audrey is a senior at the Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore, MD where she is majoring in trombone performance and minoring in orchestral conducting. At Peabody, she is a member of the Symphony Orchestra, Renaissance Ensemble, Camerata Contemporary Music Ensemble, and Conductor's Orchestra, and is also a founding member of the acclaimed Midnight Brass Quintet. She has received fellowships to attend the Alba Music Festival in Italy, the Instrumenta Verano Music Festival in Mexico, and the Hot Springs Music Festival in Arkansas. Audrey is in her fourth consecutive summer teaching low brass and cutting peaches at Summer Music at Stanislaus. |

Katie Faccini - Katie is a clarinetist, and graduated from Lodi High School in Lodi California. She is a music education major and wants to teach either high school or middle school after graduation. In her spare time she likes to practice her clarinet and she also likes to read novels. |

Carmen Flores - Carmen has been playing the alto saxophone for over a decade. She has spent the last two years specializing in the baritone saxophone and has dabbled in the tenor sax and bass clarinet as well. Her collegiate career at CSU Stanislaus has been spent thus far as a music performance major in saxophone. This year at SMAS, she will be working with the saxophone choir, assisting in jazz improv, and capturing the SMAS experience through photography. Carmen graduated from Lodi High School located in Lodi, CA. During her spare time, she serves on the executive board as recording secretary for Sigma Alpha Iota, a women's music fraternity. This organization allows her to be heavily involved in music within the community. She also enjoys cooking, traveling, softball, and practicing. After graduation from CSU Stanislaus, Carmen hopes to attend graduate school in order to obtain a masters degree. |

Michael Flores - Former field Drum Major of the Merced Marching 100 of Merced High, Michael has apt to teaching young people the fundamentals of music. Aside from school, Michael enjoys hanging out with friends and writing music. Currently Michael is double majoring in music education and composition while participating as a percussionist in both the university's Wind Ensemble and Percussion Ensemble. He plays horn and conducts alongside Dr. Weddle in the Stanislaus Symphony Band. After college he hopes to become a respected educator of instrumental music and a successful composer of film scores. |

Brad Hart - Brad Hart is a music education and music composition major who has played, written, and taught several different types of ensembles. He has written works for concert band, orchestra, chamber groups, percussion ensemble, choir, and solo works. Although his main instrument is the trumpet, he has enjoyed playing percussion for many years and now am enjoying instructing the percussion ensemble at Riverbank High School as well as instructing the marching band during the fall season. |

Charla Lawson - Charla is a Flute Performance and Instrumental Education Major at CSU Stanislaus. She will be directing the senior flutes, helping with recreation and refreshments along with acting as co-registrar for camp. Charla graduated from Lodi High School in Lodi, CA. Her hobbies include reading, practicing and studying music. After graduating, Charla plans on pursuing a masters and eventually a doctorate. |

Katye Leonard - Katye is a Flute Performance and Music Education major at CSU Stanislaus. She currently studies flute with Carol May Scott. She was a member of the first graduating class from Pitman High School in 2005. She enjoys teaching flute and piano students as well as performing jazz flute and 2nd alto in CSUS Jazz Ensemble. After graduation, Katye will pursue a career as a Jr. High Band Director by day and a flute performer by night. |

Katherine Lurye - Kathy just finished her junior year at CSU Stanislaus. She is working on BA's in both Psychology and Music. She plays French Horn and Piano, along with singing alto in choir. After getting her BA's she plans on getting her masters in Psychology and becoming a High School psychologist or counselor and eventually opening her own practice. Dan Olivas - Dan Olivas, a Central Valley native, is a graduate of Ceres High School. Currently a vocal performance and instrumental education major at CSU Stanislaus, he studies voice with Joseph Wiggett and sings baritone for the University Chamber Singers. Dan also plays trombone and sings in the 561st Air Force Band, The ANG Band of the West Coast, stationed with the 129th Rescue Wing at Moffett Federal Air Field, CA. His ensembles have included the CSU Stanislaus Concert Chorale, Wind Ensemble, Orchestra, and Jazz Ensemble, C sus Jazz Combo, Merced Symphony, Modesto Performing Arts (pit), and Townsend Opera Players (pit). Dan runs low brass sectionals for the camp. His hobbies include eating, sleeping and fixing computers. |

Kiani Payne - Kiani is a cellist and a Music Technology major. She is a recreation director for SMAS. Kiani grew up in Modesto, but graduated from Foothill High School in Sacramento. Her hobbies include singing in choir, being creative (drawing, painting, doing craft work, etc.) and playing video games. Kiani plans on pursuing a career in nursing as well as staying very much involved in music. |

Adam Serpa - Adam Serpa is currently a double major in Vocal Performance and Choral Music Education at California State University, Stanislaus. Adam began acting and singing in high school and until recently was an active performer in a rock band which toured throughout ten western states. | Kathleen Smith - Kathleen Smith is from Visalia, CA and was part of the first graduating class of El Diamante High School in 2006. She is a Music Education Major at CSU Stanislaus and is currently studying cello with Dr. Daniel Davies. She enjoys playing and teaching cello and also plays piano and violin. After college she wants to teach high school orchestra and take her students on tours all over the world. In her spare time, Kathleen enjoys reading, watching movies, going to the gym, and hanging out with friends. | |

Rebecca Stanton - Rebecca is a bassoonist, and graduated from Tracy High School in Tracy, CA. She is studying Music Education and hopes to teach middle school band after college. In her 'spare' time she enjoys playing sports, and of course practicing her bassoon. |

Richey Winkler - Richey Winkler is a French horn player and a graduate of John H. Pitman High School in Turlock California. He is both a Horn Performance and Instrumental Education Major at CSU Stanislaus. Richey has performed in the California All-State Honor Bands and Orchestras all four years of high school and in 2007 was selected as one of four Horn players for the National Symphony Orchestra in New York City. Richey would like to pursue a career as a professional horn player and someday play in a professional Symphony. |
