Piano Pedagogy

The Piano Pedagogy curriculum features a comprehensive three-semester sequence of courses—MUS 4450, Piano Pedagogy I, MUS 4452 Piano Pedagogy II, and MUS 4470 Piano Pedagogy III.  The courses include study of both the theoretical aspects of teaching, including educational learning theories, and the practical aspects, including hands-on work with beginning and intermediate students.  After completing the pedagogy courses, students who wish to open an independent music studio are amply prepared for success.  Through pedagogy study at CSU Stanislaus, piano majors will learn how to
