The CSU Stanislaus Department of Music is proud to offer a rich variety of piano related events during the 2009-10 concert season.  Concerts $10 for general admission, $8 for students and seniors, except for events that are free of charge as noted below.  Members of the Music Teachers Association of California and their students are eligible for free admission.  Contact Dr. Stephen Thomas for more information.

• September 18 – Jared Pierce, Alumnus Recital, 7:30 p.m., Snider Hall

• October 24 – Alex Chien Junior Division Winner of the Twelfth Annual Sylvia M. Ghiglieri Piano Competition, featuring works by Mozart, Chopin, Liszt, and Gershwin, 7:30 p.m., Snider Hall

• January 29-31 – Thirteenth Annual Sylvia M. Ghiglieri Piano Competition featuring competitors from around the world as well as masterclasses and recitals

• January 29 – Fantee Jones, Senior Division Winner of the Twelfth Annual Sylvia M. Ghiglieri Piano Competition, 7:30 p.m., Snider Hall

• March 12 – Stephen Thomas, Faculty Recital, performing works by Beethoven, Brahms, and Chopin, 7:30 p.m., Snider Hall

• April 16 – Dan Davies and Stephen Thomas piano/cello duo recital featuring the Chopin Sonata and other works, 7:30 p.m., Snider Hall
