History of Jazz  

MUS 3410

This class introduces students to historical and sociological aspects of the development of Jazz. Students will develop critical listenng skills, as well as an understanding of the different musical concepts associated within the jazz idiom.

This class is open to the first 100 students who enroll, and fullfills a General Education requirement. It meets Tuesday and Thursday mornings, 9:40 to 11:08.
