CSUS Jazz Festival Poster

Dear Band Directors,

It gives me great pleasure to announce the 2013 California State University Stanislaus Jazz Festival!  The festival, sponsored by the CSU Stanislaus School of the Arts, Department of Music, will be held on Friday, February 1st.  The purpose of the festival is to provide an educational and musical experience for both students and directors, as well as to foster the growth of the community of jazz educators, musicians, and students within the Central Valley and beyond.

Throughout the day, you and your students will have the opportunity to participate in master classes and see various performances, which will include selected CSU Stanislaus Jazz Ensembles as well as an evening concert at 7:30 pm featuring the Patrick Langham Group.  Members of the Patrick Langham Group, who will also serve as clinicians for the festival, include Nick Fryer, Simon Rowe, Gerry Pineda, and Brian Kendrick.

We hope you and your students will join us for an exciting day of music and be a part of the 2013 CSU Stanislaus Jazz Festival!

Sincerely,
