How do I request a reclassification of the position I hold?

The Reclassification documents are available on the HR website at the top of this page. It contains the guidelines and forms necessary for this process. It is recommended that you contact Marcia Patino with questions regarding this process and to notify that you are in the process of submitting a request.

How do I get a job application for a staff job opening at the University?

All campus position announcements, applications & application procedures are available on the HR Website. In addition, our job phone line (209-667-3354) lists the current openings and procedure for obtaining an application. Job announcements and applications are also posted in Human Resources office (HR location) and at the CSU Stanislaus - Stockton campus in the student lounge, Acacia Building .

How long is my temporary pool application considered active?

Temporary Pool applications are considered active for 6 months or until you fill an emergency hire appointment. It is the applicant's responsibility to keep their application current and resubmit a new application after such time has elapsed or after you have completed an assignment.

Do I have to fill out a separate application for each job I wish to apply for?

Yes. It is the applicant's responsibility to apply for each job they are interested in. Please be sure to indicate the job number on each application.

How can I check on the status of the job I applied for?

You will be notified of the status of your application by completing the Applicant Notification Form as part of your application packet. Applicants interviewed and not selected for a position will receive a letter of notification to that effect. You may call 209/667-3351 with the job number and position title to ask about the status of a particular recruitment. Please note that screening of applications by the search committee typically takes three weeks following the application deadline.
