We encourage parents of prospective students to visit StanState during College For A Weekend! We have a special reception planned just for you on Thursday evening and you are welcome to participate in any and all of the activities on Saturday, which includes information on paying for college, as well as information on academic programs and campus life at CSU Stanislaus.

 You will not be permitted to stay in the residence halls. It is highly recommended that you accompany your student to Check-In, enjoy the Parent Reception and then return to campus on Saturday, leaving your child to “experience college” on Friday!

PARENT Reception

On Thursday evening, you are invited to a Parent Reception featuring appetizers, drinks and desserts from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm. During this time, you will be given basic information about StanState and how you can maximize your student’s and opportunities success. We will host a Q&A for parents following this.

WIll my Student be Safe?

Yes. Your student will be escorted by a Host who will be aware of your student’s whereabouts at all times. In addition, your student will have access to the Housing Office at any time if they have a question or forget where they need to be.

In addition to this, all the Resident Assistants, Senior Staff and Campus Police are aware of this event and will be alerts to all CFAWers. Lastly, we make it a point to help CFAWers connect on the first night, so not only will they have StanState students looking out for them, but they will have other CFAWers with whom they can attend events.
