The online housing application is available at 9:00a.m. on February 15, 2012. Roommate search and selection, as well as room self-selection are based on the date your complete application was received.  Applications received by 3:00p.m., Friday, March 16, 2012 will be in the 1st Round of Roommate Placement. 

To complete the application your child will need to have a couple of things handy as he or she goes through the process. These include:

• Campus Email Address and Password – This will be used to log onto the online application portal.

• Debit card/credit card – This will be used to pay the $200 deposit at the end of the application process. 

           If your student is receiving financial aid you can request to have                       the $200 deposit deferred and taken from the 1st financial aid           

           payment in August.    To request this print and fax/mail the deposit        

           deferment form to the Housing Office.

• Health Insurance Information

• Financial Guarantor/Co-Signer - If your child is under twenty four years old (24) he or she is required to have a financial guarantor/co-signer. This person will share equal financial responsibility for the cost of student housing. The online housing application process includes a section where your child will provide basic contact information for his or her co-signer.

           If you are the financial guarantor you will need to do the following:

1. Print out the Financial Guarantor/Co-Signer Form
2. Fill it in and return it to the Housing Office by mail/fax

 

The housing application will automatically direct your child the application appropriate to his or her class standing. For example, if he or she is a first-time freshman with no units he or she will be placed in the application process for Freshman Housing. If he or she is a transfer or continuing student with completed units recorded with CSU Stanislaus he or she will be directed into the Upperclass application process.

An application is not considered complete until Housing and Residential Life has received the following:

• Completion of the online application, including all e-signatures
• Deposit has been paid or deferred
• Signed Financial Guarantor/Co-Signer Form has been received by the Housing Office.
