Improve student performance in algebra, economics, and chemistry through the creation of an Academic Enrichment Program using Supplemental Instruction (SI)
Provide increased opportunities for Hispanic and low-income students to gain access to a university and successfully complete courses which lead to sought-after bachelor degree programs such as liberal studies for teacher preparation, business, and nursing
Pilot test, refine, and institutionalize academic support above and beyond that normally provided to students
Evaluate the effectiveness of Supplemental Instruction as it relates to the local student population
