Young Writers Workshop in Turlock @ CSU Stanislaus

This program offers a unique opportunity for students to develop their writing talents. Under the guidance of experienced Great Valley Writing Project Teacher Consultants, students have a chance to grow as writers. In an atmosphere that is optimal for young writers, students become better writers. Students share writings with fellow students, conference with teachers, and experiment with a variety of genre and creative techniques.

Turlock Summer Writing and Math Camp

This program offers a unique opportunity for students in grades 4-8 to develop their writing talents and mathematical insight. Under the leadership of Great Valley Writing Project and the Central California Math Project, the participants have an opportunity to grow as writers and mathematicians.

Dates: Weekdays June 3-14, 2013

Time: 8:30am - 3:30pm, brown bag lunch

Location: CSU stanislaus, One University Circle, Turlock CA

For students entering grades 4-8 in the Fall of 2013

Registration Fee: $400 (includes T-shirt and class materials)                                                                      $25 discount when enrolling two or more from the same family

GVWP Writing & Technology Workshops for K-12 Students


GVWP Writing & Technology Workshops help young authors and college-bound students develop their creative and academic writing talents. Guided by our large staff of GVWP consultants, classroom teachers, and technology instructors, participants develop confidence and skills in a collaborative setting that is optimal for productivity and learning. Each day, students learn new writing strategies, interact with personal writing mentors, explore multimedia technology, and collaborate with peers as they polish, present, and publish their work. Enrollment fees currently range from $120-$165, depending on the selected workshop and enrollment date.
