In 2006 the CSU Office of the Chancellor issued Executive Order 987 which calls for every CSU campus to procure 20 percent of its electricity from renewable sources by 2010. CSU Stanislaus is responding to this order by installing photovoltaic panel canopies located over Parking Lots 4 & 5 as well as installing panels on building rooftops such as the Vasche Library & Bizzini Hall. The campus is part of Phase III (systemwide), that is currently in the request for qualification (RFQ) stage. The project is estimated to start in summer 2011.
