POSITION:
|
The Department of Accounting and Finance at California State University, Stanislaus invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The primary responsibility of the person hired will be to annually teach four sections of the senior level Accounting Information Systems (AIS) course and one section of the senior level Computer Applications in Finance course. A section of the sophomore level Financial Accounting or Managerial Accounting course will also be taught. The annual teaching expectation is 24 units.

MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS:
|
An earned doctorate in Accounting with a specialty in AIS or an earned doctorate in Management Information Systems (MIS) or related fields. Applicants lacking a Ph.D. in AIS must have demonstrated competence in teaching senior level AIS courses.

PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS:
|
An earned doctorate in Accounting with a specialization in AIS with a CPA or CISA certificate or equivalent; OR an earned doctorate in MIS with a CISA certificate or equivalent. It is preferred that the Ph.D. be from an AACSB accredited university.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT and THE COLLEGE: The Accounting and Finance Department offers a concentration in Accounting and a concentration in Finance as part of the College of Business Administration BSBA Degree. The College also offers a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems as well as the Master of Business Administration Degree. The College is accredited by the AACSB.
