Dr. Xamuel Bañales is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Ethnic Studies Department at California State University, Stanislaus. Bañales completed their doctorate degree from UC Berkeley and has authored essays in a variety of anthologies and journals, including: Ethnic Studies Review; Aztlán: A Journal of Chicano Studies; Decolonization: Indigeneity, Education & Society; The Bilingual Review/Revista Bilingüe; and North American Congress on Latin America.
