Case Study Comments and Pitfalls to Avoid
Be sure your executive summary includes your conclusio= ns and recommendations.
Your executive summary should NOT be an introduction, outline, or teaser that says things like “will discuss”.
Research on the topic should be evident and cited full= y.
Be sure to cite sources of information not just a refe= rence list at the end.

Be sure to include items specified in the directions s= uch as “Develop a budget”.
Check the math and logic of the numbers in your budget figures.
Be sure to analyze the problem.
Use concepts from your education to think through the sources of problems.
Think about causes.&n= bsp;
Usually causes of problems should be related to propos= ed solutions.
Think about word choices.
For example, you should not “command”, “mandate”, or “require” things from people who do n= ot work for you. When collaborat= ing and building co-operation between organizations it is important to be respectful and not to assume authority that you do not have.
Proofread your work.
Do not commit plagiarism. If you choose to quote a source th= en be sure to include quotation marks and cite the source.
Be sure any graphs, tables or charts are legible. Explain why they are included in t= erms of their meaning or the point you are making.
Include page numbers.
Include your student ID number. If you are unsure of your student = id number please check it before submitting your work.
Do not include your name on the case study.
