Q: Is orientation mandatory?
No, it is not mandatory that you attend orientation/rehersal. However, it is encouraged. You will receive important line up, seating, and timeline instructions.
Q: Do I need to notify anyone that I will/will not be attending the ceremony?
It is recommended that you RSVP to the ceremony.
Q: Do I need tickets?
No, tickets are not required.
Q: What time should my guests arrive?
Most guests arrive an hour before the ceremony.
Q: How long will the ceremony last?
The ceremony will last approximately 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
Q: Who is the guest speaker for the Commencement Ceremony?
There will be a student speaker for each ceremony.
Q: Where can I leave my valuables during the ceremony?
Graduates are discouraged from bringing purses or other valuables with them to the ceremony. You will have to carry these items at all times. Another option would be to leave you valuables with your guests.
