One of the newest building on campus, the bookstore features an impressive architectural design with an octagonal entry tower and basilican form. The 12,000 square-foot building is twice the size of its predecessor in the Student Union. In addition to the sections for books, supplies, and always popular Stanislaus State clothing and memorabilia items, the store includes a reading and lounge area. A coffee-dispensing machine and cold drinks are also available. The bookstore entryway includes sculptor Andrew Wilson Smith's marble herms and ancient Greek poets side by side with images of California authors, celebrating literary connections between ancient Greece and California.
