What advice would you give to another CSUS student?

My biggest advice to CSU students is to get involved. If you are not involved in a club or Org, it is never too late to join one! As a freshman, I first began volunteering for what is now known as Code Red Entertainment. I would be aware of different events on campus such as Warriors in the Quad, Weekend Warrior trips, Warriors up at Night, Warrior Day, etc. I continued to be a volunteer my second year, I got to meet artists such as the New Boyz and the Ying Yang Twins. By the end of the year I became a proud sister of Alpha Pi Sigma Sorority, Inc. On my third year, I applied to be on the USU Board of Directors as a student representative. I later became USU Vice Chair of Finance and was given the opportunity to be part of committees such as SROC (Student Recreation Oversight Committee) and the search committee for a new CPA firm that would perform the audits for all four Auxiliaries at CSU Stanislaus. I also served as treasurer for my sorority. I am in my fourth year, currently serving on the University Student Union Board of Directors as Vice Chair and President for my Sorority. I have built strong relationships and long lasting friendships. I have tried to use all of the available resources that I have on campus. I would encourage every student on campus to be involved, it truly changes your college experience and helps build your resume! Oh and don’t forget to wear your red on Wednesdays to not only show school pride but also win cool prizes!

What advice would you give to another CSUS student?
The advice that I would give to another CSUS Student would be to
1. Explore the campus- there are so many great spots on campus, a numerous amount of resources available to you and a lot of other aspects that students might not take advantage to while they are here. Getting to know the school and what it offers can make life a whole lot easier.
2. To get involved in any way possible- being involved on campus, first helps with number one and seeing what Stanislaus has to offer and the fun things that go on and two helps with meeting people along with building resume and getting a different college experience than just going to class and leaving. There are many different ways a student can get involved so there is something for everyone.

What advice would you give to another CSUS student?

California State University, Stanislaus, has an expansive yet cohesive campus and it offers a lot of fun-filled activities through various departments and organizations.  I would advise all the students to get involved on campus, so that they enjoy their college life. Students should enjoy both quality education and extracurricular activities that CSU Stanislaus offers while taking home wonderful memories to cherish for the rest of their life.

What advice would you give to another CSUS student?

Obviously, do your best in all your classes. My next piece of advice is: GET INVOLVED IN CSU STANISLAUS! Join a sorority, fraternity, club or organization like ASI or USU.  It is never too late! I became involved in CSU Stanislaus this year and it’s my Senior year.  I just wish I had been more involved sooner.  It’s an amazing experience where you get to meet new people, go to exciting events, have lifelong memoires, and gain the confidence and leadership skills needed for when you graduate CSU Stanislaus.  So…GET INVOLVED TODAY!
