Richard Johnston is a professor of art at CSU, San Bernardino. As a sculptor, he combines the delicate craftsmanship of scavenged and scrap metal with a profound and unique vision. His virtuosity as an artist is immediately apparent in the way he creates a balance between the nature of his materials and the demands of his sensibility, leading to works that are thought provoking and lyrical while simultaneously playful and whimsical.
