Commencement Only the Beginning for Class of 2013

CSU Stanislaus added more than 2,800 graduates to push its alumni base well past 50,000 during three commencement ceremonies last month.

Approximately 800 doctoral, master's and credential students participated in a commencement ceremony May 30, the first time a third ceremony was added to the festivities. The 2,000 students receiving bachelor's degrees did so in a pair of ceremonies on May 31.


Former Foster Youth Find a Helping Hand on Campus

The Promise Scholars Program at CSU Stanislaus provides former foster youth the support and resources they need to succeed in college. Proof of the program's success came last month, when five Promise Scholars graduated with bachelor's degrees.Read More >>

Sheley Appointed President by CSU Board of Trustees

The CSU Board of Trustees last month announced the appointment of Joseph F. Sheley as president of CSU Stanislaus. Sheley had served as interim president of the campus since June 2012.


Pok Named Vice President for Advancement

Shirley M. Pok, who took over as CSU Stanislaus' new vice president for advancement last month, was drawn to the university in part by President Joseph Sheley and his relationship with the surrounding community.


Alumna Honored for Police Work at CSU Stanislaus

CSU Stanislaus alumna and police officer Aimee Powers was recently honored by two organizations in the coming months for her overall performance and integrity, in particular her efforts to battle drunk driving.
