Curricular Articulation at California State University, Stanislaus is a process that involves communication with other institutions to ensure courses are appropriately accounted for when a student transfers either to or from CSU Stanislaus.
The purpose of curricular articulation agreements with all schools is to equate similar courses at different institutions to insure the student understands what courses will meet the general education requirements and lower-division prerequisites to the major from the schools he/she is attending and how they will apply upon transfer.
We allow and encourage students to use major preparation courses in the CSU General Education Breadth or the alternative University of California Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC) patterns whenever possible. Articulation agreements are available at Community College Transfer Centers and on the web.
Approved course articulation agreements that indicate those courses that are comparable to lower division preparation courses for major programs appear on the Articulation System Stimulating Interinstitutional Student Transfer program (ASSIST). Please consult our University Catalog for more information or send e-mail to the Articulation Office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
