Why attend a WUE School?
Students who are residents of WICHE states are eligible to request a reduced tuition rate of 150% of resident tuition at participating two- and four-year college programs outside of their home state.
The WUE reduced tuition rate is not automatically awarded to all eligible candidates. Many institutions limit the number of new WUE awards each academic year, so apply early!
Programs Available
All undergraduate majors except pre-nursing/nursing.
Eligibility and Participant Requirements
New freshman and new undergraduate transfer students who are enrolling for the first time may apply for WUE. Interested Students:
- must request the WUE tuition rate prior to enrolling in their first term.
- must declare their intent to maintain their legal domicile in their home WICHE state at the time of their application.
- WUE students are not eligible for California resident tuition. Students cannot apply time accrued while participating in the WUE program to establish California residency.
- Students may receive the WUE tuition rate for four years or until the completion of the bachelor’s degree, whichever comes first.
