College FairMore than 100 colleges and universities from all over the United States will take part in the Central Valley Western Association for College Admission Counseling (WACAC) College Fair on Monday, April 27 at California State University, Stanislaus.

The event in Warrior Arena includes morning and evening sessions, starting with a 9 a.m. to noon program and ending with another from 6 to 8 p.m. Admission is free and open to all 9th through 11th grade high school students and prospective college transfer students and their parents.

CSU Stanislaus has hosted the fair on a rotating basis in 2001, 2003, 2005 and 2007 since being selected as a host site. The program is of particular interest to high school juniors and their parents who are seeking information pertaining to higher education.

More than 3,000 student visitors and their parents from all over Central California are expected to head for Turlock by the busloads to collect information and speak with college representatives at the information tables in the Arena. The event is co-sponsored by WACAC and CSU Stanislaus.

A workshop will be offered on “Student Life Experiences” about campus life, choosing a college that is right for you, and learning about helpful websites. The workshop will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Faculty Development Center

Tours of the CSU Stanislaus campus will be provided.
