About The College
The College of Human and Health Sciences is unique in combining a strong emphasis on the science-based theory and methods of the disciplines with their practical applications. Programs emphasize applying what is taught in the classroom to the real world through laboratory, clinical, and field experiences.

As children ponder the world around them, we aspire to learn about their physical, mental, emotional, and social development. The Child Development program provides students with a background of knowledge in child growth and development. Courses include lab and field experiences at the Child Development Center, the Parent Child Home Program, and other field sites.
What can you do with a degree in Child Development? Career paths/fields of work include: preschool teacher/director/owner, parent educator, elementary school teacher, child counselor, pediatric psychologist, social worker, and adoption counselor.
