FIN 4820:
Seminar in Financial Management
Focuses on the analysis of financial policies and problems of non-financial firms. Develops elements of the theory of business finance, and introduces the case study and simulation methods within the financial management context.
- A basic understanding of: the role of financial markets and institutions in a developed economy, interest rates and the factors that affect them, the time-value of money, capital budgeting, and the use of financial markets
- To understand and evaluate investment advice from brokers and the press
