Welcome to my Faculty Web Pages
Hello Friends,
Thank you for visiting my faculty web pages. I hope you can take a minute to visit
my other website, www.JoanWink.com, where I post my electronic newsletter and many
other resources for teachers.
I am a professor at California State University, Stanislaus, where I teach in the
credential and master's programs in Curriculum and Instruction within the
College of Education. I am interested in the relationships between language, literacy, and learning in a pluralistic context.
I attended public school in Mobridge, SD and graduated from Yankton College in 1966.
I taught Spanish, English, language arts in public schools in PA and AZ and worked
with district ESL, migrant, bilingual, and two-way immersion programs in CA. I completed
a masters in Spanish and another in Bilingual Education at the University of Arizona.
I did my Ph. D. at Texas A&M.
