Biography:
I am a junior majoring in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Forensic Science, and a minor in Physical Anthropology. I have lived in The Village for two years and this year I am privileged to be serving as a resident advisor for the third floor of Phase III. I'm very happy that I chose CSU Stanislaus; I couldn't picture myself anywhere else!

Why did you choose CSU Stanislaus?
I chose CSUS for three reasons: First, CSUS has the best undergraduate Criminal Justice program within the state, which includes Forensics as a concentration. Secondly, I found the size of the campus (8,000 students) and the atmosphere to be very inviting. Third, I really liked the dorms, so much that I'm now a resident advisor!

What advice would you give a prospective student?
Incoming freshmen should continue to do well in high school, both academically and in extracurriculars. Once they begin their college education, it's important that they attend class and learn to balance the many demands that will be placed on them. It's also quite helpful to become involved in clubs and orgs on campus.

What has been your favorite academic or student life experience so far?
There is never a dull moment at CSUS. From Late Night Stanislaus, trips to Yosemite, Homecoming and Warrior Day, there are plenty of activities to suit everyone. I really enjoy living in the dorms because not only are there monthly floor events but we are right on campus so we always know what's going on. My favorite academic experience so far has been any class I've taken with Dr. Rhodes, as well as my forensic anthropology class, Bodies of Evidence, with Dr. Miller-Antonio.

What is your career objective?
I plan to be a Forensic Anthropologist.

What clubs, sports, and activities have you participated in?
During my freshman year, I was active in the Union Program Board, Outdoor Adventure Program, ASI Warrior Squad, The Criminal Justice Club, College Republicans, as well as in the Village on Village Council. During my sophomore year, I served as the vice president and then vice president of the Criminal Justice Club, ASI Warrior Squad, and I was active on three Village committees; Village Council, Wellness, and Varsity. This year, I am a resident advisor.

Who is your most influential personal and/or University mentor?
From a personal standpoint, my parents are my most influential mentors. From day one of university living, they have given me nothing but love and support in all that I've done. From a University standpoint, Dr. Cecil Rhodes has been a wonderful professor who has helped me learn and understand law. I also value my fellow RAs and housing staff, as well as my residents and friends who help keep me going through all the stress!
