Biography:
My name is Janelle Rodriguez. I was born and raised in Turlock. I am going to be an incoming freshman this fall and plan on majoring in Biology. I eventually plan on becoming a dentist after college. When I am not busy with work and school, I like to golf with my friends.

Why did you choose CSU Stanislaus?
I chose Stanislaus because it’s close to home and it’s a beautiful campus.

What advice would you give a prospective student?
The advice that I would give would be to visit the campus that you’re planning on attending before you decide to enroll to make sure it’s right for you.

What has been your favorite academic or student life experience so far?
So far I have been busy working as a University Ambassador. It has been very exciting because I’ve met a lot of great people by working on campus.

What is your career objective?
After graduating from Stanislaus and majoring in Biology, my career objective is to become a dentist one day!

What clubs, sports, and activities have you participated in?
Since I’m an incoming freshman, I haven’t participated in any school activities yet but I plan on getting involved in some clubs on campus. In my spare time, I like to golf with friends.

Who is your most influential personal and/or University mentor?
The most influential person would be Carolina Alfaro who works as an Admissions Counselor in the Student Outreach department at CSU Stanislaus. She’s always been there to help me when I need her.
