Biography
I was born and raised in Modesto and moved to Riverbank in seventh grade. Last June I graduated from Beyer High School second in my class. I played the flute in school band for eight years. I really enjoy dancing, which I have done since kindergarten, and reading in my spare time.
Why did you choose CSU Stanislaus?
It is close to home and I had heard good things about it from alumni and current students. I also received the scholarship, making this school seem especially attractive. I knew I wanted to go to a smaller, more personal school which made me choose Stanislaus instead of a UC.
What advice would you give a prospective student?
Don't get too stressed out. Everyone is very nice and helpful, which made my transition smooth. The campus is very pleasant and easy to navigate. Live on campus because making friends is very easy in the Village.
What has been your favorite academic or student life experience so far?
Living in the dorms has really been a positive and fun experience. My dorm-mates are all really nice and easy to get along with. It's great not to have to worry about driving to school every day, and so convenient to "live where you learn." It is really awesome getting "the college experience" by living on campus.
What is your career objective?
I would like to work in book publishing, possibly
What clubs, sports, and activities have you participated in?
I am a member of Sigma Tau Delta, the English Honors Society.
Who is your most influential personal and/or University mentor?
My parents would have to be my most influential mentors. They have helped me develop not only a good work ethic, in respect to school, but also a love of learning.
