Why did you choose CSU Stanislaus?
I chose CSU Stanislaus not only because it is in the top tier on Princeton Review, but because of the beautiful campus and how welcoming everyone was when I went on a tour.
What does ‘learning’ mean to you, as it pertains to a college environment?
Learning to me is gaining knowledge that I will use in my career and throughout my life.
Who is your most influential personal and/or university mentor? Why?
My most influential personal and university mentor is Adriana Zapata. She has always been available for academic, work and emotional support. She is a solid representative of CSU Stanislaus, a strong attribute to the outreach office, a great friend and a phenomenal person.
What clubs, sports, and activities in which have you participated? Any fun/memorable experiences?
I was involved in the Student California Teachers Association for three years, where I held the position of philanthropy chair and vice president. All of my best memories have taken place at my on-campus job as a university ambassador. My college experience would not have been the same without my awesome coworkers.
What makes you tick? What do you do for fun?
I really love my job, where I get the opportunity to introduce people to my school. I also love dancing, laughing with my coworkers, spending time with my family and hanging out with my best friend and love of my life, Michael. Turlock is only an hour and a half away from the beach, so I love to go there too.
How would you convince a prospective student that CSU Stanislaus is the best fit for their higher education needs?
I would tell a prospective student that not only is CSU Stanislaus a lot of fun, but it is a really great place to obtain an education and create unforgettable memories through classes, hard work, and clubs and organizations. It is also a great place to meet new friends.
