Service learning allows a student to bridge the theoretical foundations learned in a classroom with the practical experience necessary to be successful in the workforce. For many employers it is just as important that a graduate have applicable real-life experience. A degree doesn’t mean anything if you aren’t adaptable to your environment and for many this is a skill that is learned, not taught.
