Group Exercise Classes
Spring 2013
Join at any time! Schedule runs January 28 - May 24. All classes are held in the SRC Group Ex room and run for 55 minutes unless indicated below. Instructor names are in italics. Warrior ID required for entry.
Open to Spring 2013 students who paid the SRC fee with tuition. Also open to faculty, staff and alumni with an SRC membership.

Class Descriptions
Bootcamp
Intermediate to advanced level class using many exercises mirroring the Army's physical training regulations. Expect intense cross-fit exercises that concentrate on fatiguing muscle groups. Classes will be progressive and compliment regular attendance for best results.
Cardio and Core
A mixture of cardio activities to get your heart rate up and core exercises to get those abs burning. Be ready to sweat!
Conditioning
Test your strength and endurance with the next level of training. This combined cardiovascular workout and total body training is challenging and feels like you're training one-on-one but with the fun of a group. Great for all levels of fitness!
Horizontal Conditioning
Horizontal Conditioning is core and so much more. It works your body from head to toe, from the inside out. Workouts use body weight with a few props for resistance. It gives you total body definition, endurance and strength. You get lean and defined muscles without bulk. To change your body you have to challenge it. That is what Horizontal Conditioning is all about. If you are serious about getting in shape and ready for a challenge, try Horizontal conditioning.
Kettlebell Class
A great workout incorporating the age Old Russian strength tool, the Kettlebell. Individuals taking this class will expect a unique and challenging full body workout, which utilizes dynamic movements to shape and sculpt the entire body and core. Rev up your metabolism and scorch fat off your body.
Kick and Core
A combination of high intensity cardio, core, weight training and some kickboxing moves to build endurance, strength and flexibility.
MMA Conditioning
This class will incorporate drills from boxing, muay thai, bjj, and wrestling with regards to a cardiovascular workout, and functional form striking used in combative sports unlike traditional cardio kickboxing and tae-bo. Individuals interested in this class will expect a challenging workout while learning functional striking skills used in modern day martial arts and self-defense.
Pilates
The six principles of Pilates (centering, control, flow, breath, precision, and concentration) are used to condition the body which helps to build flexibility, strength, endurance, and coordination in the legs, abdominals, arms and back.
Yoga
A blend of movement from one posture to another with a brief pause in between. Developing flexibility, relaxation, alignment of the body: bringing balance, strength and calmness.
Zumba
Ditch the workout! Join the party! This high intensity Zumba class fuses hypnotic latin rhythms with hip-hop, world music, and easy to follow dance moves to create a dynamic fitness program that will blow you away. The goal is simple: work out, have fun, get hooked. Get ready to experience an exhilarating hour of calorie-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring fun! Let's get Zumba happy!
