| We are pleased you have chosen to visit us and learn more about the exciting programs we offer. We hope that this web site will be helpful.
Since 1977, we have offered an RN to BSN completion program. It serves registered nurses with an associate degree or diploma in nursing who want to study for a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Classes are offered on the Turlock campus and, based on an adequate size cohort, at the Stockton off-campus site. More than 700 nurses have graduated from our program, making a distinct contribution to nursing care in the region.
In Fall 2002, a pre-licensure track to the Bachelor of Science degree opened. Forty students are admitted to the track each Fall. Graduates earn a BSN and are eligible to take the NCLEX® exam and to obtain a California Public Health Nurse Certificate.
The department offers an innovative articulation program with local community college nursing programs that enables current associate degree students a pathway to expedite BSN education.
Since 1998, department faculty have been engaged with a collaborative Master of Science-Family Nurse Practitioner program with Sonoma State University . Its continuance is dependent on outside funding.
We welcome inquiries about any of these programs and offer information sessions throughout the year. Please contact the nursing department for additional information.
