Senior Camp is open to all band, orchestra, choral, and piano students (pianists: please see information below) who have completed grades nine through twelve in the spring of 2013, and have played for at least 2 years. In addition to the major performing ensembles, students will have the opportunity to perform in small ensembles and participate in a variety of creative electives including activities like composition, song writing, drumming, recording and production, improvisation (jazz and/or non-jazz), musical theatre and more. Musical activities throughout the week will be documented and shared by students through the camp website! Private lessons are also available from the faculty for an additional fee. An audition tape is required for all graduating eighth grade instrumentalists wishing to enroll in Senior Session. The tape should consist of a two-octave scale and a solo that demonstrates technical and musical ability.

PIANO STUDENTS

Pianists will receive a daily individual lesson in a master class format, and will also participate in various chamber ensembles. In addition, students will enroll in new creative electives (see descriptions under Junior or Senior camp headings). Piano Camp will conclude with a performance celebrating each student's accomplishments. Pianists who play secondary instruments are welcome to bring them to play during afternoon electives.
