Junior Camp is open to all band, orchestra, and piano students (pianists: please see information below), who have completed grades six through eight in the spring of 2013, and have played for at least one year. Students will participate in concert band or orchestra as major performing ensembles. Campers will also have daily sectional rehearsals as well as opportunities to participate in chamber ensembles. Additionally creative electives will be available, including activities like drumming, song writing, recording and production, music listening, improvisation (jazz and/or non-jazz), musical theatre and more. Musical activities throughout the week will be documented and shared by students through the camp website! Private lessons are also available from the faculty for an additional fee.

PIANO STUDENTS

Pianists will receive a daily individual lesson in a master class format, and will also participate in various chamber ensembles. In addition, students will enroll in new creative electives (see descriptions under Junior or Senior camp headings). Piano Camp will conclude with a performance celebrating each student's accomplishments. Pianists who play secondary instruments are welcome to bring them to play during afternoon electives.
