| Dr. Marjorie Chan received her BS degree in Business Administration from California State University at Fresno, and her MBA and Ph.D. degrees from UCLA. Dr. Chan has conducted empirical research in companies across various industries such as aerospace, banking, advertising, media buying, and medical technologies. Her publications have appeared in the Journal of Management Case Studies, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Journal of Small Business and Entrepreneurship, International Journal of Case Studies and Research, Management Research News, Business Journal, International Journal of Organizational Analysis and the Journal of Business Ethics. Dr. Chan has also cases and articles published in books on management policy and strategy, current topics in management, small business management, and entrepreneurship. Dr. Chan has presented papers in both national and international conferences held in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Greece, Korea, Portugal, and the United Kingdom.
Dr. Chan received 11 "Dean's Office Monetary Journal Publication Awards" for 11 refereed journal articles published during 1995 through 2005. Also, she received five Leadership Awards for 1997, 1998, 1999, 2005, and 2006 from the International Conference on Advances in Management for chairing the Strategic Management and Organization Theory track. Dr. Chan has been a board member of the following: International Journal of Organizational Analysis from 1998 to June of 2007 and CSU Stanislaus College of Business Administration's Family Business Center from the spring of 2001 to June of 2004. Dr. Chan has been an ad hoc reviewer for the International Journal of Organizational Analysis from 1998 to June of 2007. She has served as an elected board member of the Annual International Conference on Advances in Management for 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007. She has just been re-elected in July of 2007 to serve for another year as a board member of this conference. She is also a board member of the Open Ethics Journal (Bentham Science Publishers Ltd).
Dr. Chan is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, Phi Kappa Phi, the Academy of Management, the Strategic Management Society, and a former Associate Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.
