Current Students
Academic Advising is provided for current students on a walk in basis. Please come well prepared to each advising appointment with specific questions.  The time with your advisor should be used to get information you need about the major.  You should let your advisor know what you plan to take the following term (s), but please do not expect your advisor to search through the Class Schedule to select appropriate courses which meet at acceptable times - that is your responsibility.

New Students
All new students to CSU Stanislaus, freshman and transfers, are required to attend a Mandatory New Student Orientation.  Liberal Studies faculty and staff will be available at the orientation to introduce you to the Liberal Studies program and explain program requirements and other pertinent information. You will receive a  packet containing a program checklist, advising guide and articulation agreement to help you keep track of your progress and help you plan your major.
