PLACEMENT TESTS
The CSU requires new undergraduate students to be tested in English (English Placement Test-EPT) and Mathematics (Entry Level Mathematics Test-ELM) prior to enrollment. These are not admission tests but determine eligibility to enroll in specific courses. Students may be exempt for EPT and ELM based on prior coursework or their SAT/ACT results. The International Admissions Office will notify you if you are required to take the tests.
Note: California State University, Stanislaus interprets “where English was the primary language of instruction” to mean that a school is located in a country where English is the native language (the daily medium of communication of the majority of residents is English), and that the students receive academic instruction in all subjects (except foreign language courses) at all levels of education in English. |
