Financial Aid

Residents receiving Financial Aid must contact the Housing Accounts Coordinator to determine if aid will fully fund the cost of housing. In many instances Financial Aid does not cover the full cost and it is the responsibility of the resident and his or her financial guarantor/co-signer to pay any cost for housing not covered by Financial Aid. Balances must be paid off by the end of each semester within the overall contract term.

Students receiving aid will need to have a Financial Aid Payment Deferral Agreement on file with the Housing Office no later than two weeks after check-in.

Blue safety lights are located throughout the Village complex. These phones connect directly to 9-1-1 in case of an emergency. A Resident Advisor or Village employee is available 24/7 and can be reached at (209) 667-3675.

Yes, we will be running our shuttles this fall, Monday – Friday, 6pm-11pm.  You verbiage looks good, but we no longer refer to it as the Escort Program, rather it is Stanislaus Transports at Night (S.T.A.N.)  We are really trying to get away from the word “escort”.  If you need to describe it further, I would say something like, “safety shuttles”.

The campus Stanislaus Transports at Night (S.T.A.N) runs Monday-Friday from 6:00p.m.-11:00p.m. Residents can use these safety shuttles to return to the Village after an evening class. Shuttles adhere to an established campus route and stop before most buildings.

Housing and Residential Life and the University Police Department work closely together to provide a safe and secure environment.

Telephone Service

There is a 9-1-1 emergency line in the living room of each unit. This line is accessible to all residents of that unit. The only external call which can be made from this line is 9-1-1. Although the line cannot receive or dial other external phone numbers it is capable of dialing on-campus 4-digit extensions (such as academic departments, the Housing Office, the Health Center, Admissions & Records, etc.)

Each individual bedroom is equipped with a phone line which can be activated by contacting Campus Telephone Services at (209) 667-3719. The basic line cost is $17.50/month with long distance at $.05/minute after 5p.m. and $.10/minute between 8a.m.-5p.m.
